Did a repair on 2”Febco 860. This services a splash pad that was not in service for 5-6 months so the water was pretty stagnant/nasty. I got sprayed in the face when clearing the test cocks, next day I came down with a pretty nasty eye infection. Starting to clear up 15 days later after going to ophthalmologist 3 times and being on 2 different eye drops and an oral antibiotic. Vision’s been very blurry and just now getting better,

Coincidence, maybe, but a good lesson to protect your eyes when working on Backflow devices
